I think Fall may be my favourite season. There is so much I love about Fall, but for the sake of brevity, here are three reasons:
1. The colours. This colour in particular. The crazy, fluorescent, orangey-pink that maple trees turn to around here. So beautiful. (And yes, I spelled colour with a 'u' mister spell check, this is a Canadian blog, after all)
2. The weather
Fall has the best weather of the year. Not too hot, not too cold, just right. Baby bear weather. Perfect for wearing all the right clothes. Cool enough for a hat, but still warm enough that just a hoodie or sweater will suffice. No need for mitts yet. Perfect.
3. Pie Oh. My. Gosh. PIE! We only get my mom's pumpkin pie once, maybe twice a year around here, and it is so. freakin'. good. And since it's Thanksgiving weekend.....
Bring on the pie!
And because some people don't like pumpkin pie (and are therefore CRAZY) we also get an apple pie and some sort of berry pie too along with the 3, (THREE) pumpkin pies.
And sadly, this is what happens in the end. And now I need to go and buy new pants. Another great thing to love about fall. New fall clothes!
ps: Special shout out to my nephew Luc for hand modeling in the pie serving picture, even though he is one of the crazy pumpkin pie haters. Nice work.
Y'know... I don't think there was enough pie.

In a philosophical sense, can there ever be enough pie....
