That is a really confusing blog title, but you know what I mean.
We decided to do our presents with the boys a day early, so as not to get overloaded on Christmas day itself. We put out Klompen (wooden shoes) instead of stockings this year. It was funny, these are not decorative Klompen, but the wooden shoes that we use on a day to day basis, so they are not Christmas-y at all, but kind of beat up (and not very clean), but we used them anyways.
It was Baby's first Christmas, which was really fun. He was not as aware of what was going on as the Little Dude was (who was very excited) but he has fun ripping paper, and eating paper and generally crawling around and getting into stuff.
He was really stoked about this little metal container of m&m's that was in L.D's wooden shoe. It made a terrific rattle. (incidently, L.D. has just discovered m&m's and was calling them m.m.m's. Very funny. That 'and' totally sounds like another 'm' if you've never heard of them before and can't read.)
This is L.D. showing Hubs where he 'wrote' his name on the gift for Daddy. That long blue squiggle says "Daaaaaaaaady". I presume there's lots of 'A's because of the length of the word.
And here's the Baby, yukkin' it up with some of his new toys (a set of 'safe' phthalate-free, PVD-free, BPA-free rubber duckies. From Boon, if you're wondering). It was a fun morning, and a lovely day with our little family, and now we are all ready to spend tomorrow, Christmas day proper with the rest of my extended family (parents and siblings and such).
Hope you all have a lovely day, full of food and family and fun and don't forget to relax a bit too! Merry Christmas!
