Nearly done pieceing the quilt top for the Star Wars Ranbow Star Quilt. Want to keep at it (even though it is waaay too late at night), so all I've got for you tonight is a couple of pictures.
Sewing, sewing, sewing.... Luckily, I did not have to work this morning, and the kids were surprisingly harmonious this afternoon in the post nap-time/pre dinner-time window. I had the presence of mind to crock pot something for dinner, so I got a lot of work done today. Which is such a good feeling. See? I've got lots of nice strips all ready to sew together. That's going to take a lawt of pinning, to get all those nice little points to line up. Wish me luck.
Oh, and also, totally unrelated but very inspiring, Hubs found this video of Pink's AMA performance of the song Try and it just blows me away. Because she's not just dancing, like a pop star would, shaking her butt in a lineup of girls. No, she is doing some seriously challenging choreography and SINGING the whole time. For real. Crazy. So watch it. And then go watch the actual official video, which is also impressive and beautiful, but I think you'll get more out of it if you watch the live version first. You know, if you're into that kind of angry/physical/sexual contemporary dance. I love it, but you might not (I'm talking to you moms).
Right, back to the sewing machine.
Oh man, that precision sewing with pins freaks me out. Kudos to you!
