I'm working on a new quilting project that I am very excited about. I'm spending all my free time lately on it (which is why I missed a post last night). I'm going to be a bit secretive about it till its done, but I will tell you that it's all solids, and I'm wildly enthusiastic about the colour palette I've come up with. Its rather large with 21 different colours to contend with. Despite the fun that I'm having, it is a lot of work, and having 21 different yards of fabric lying around can be a bit confusing, not to mention messy. I usually just lay the fabric that I'm not working with over the far end of the ironing board, but with this many there was really no room to iron. So I had to come up with a storage solution that still allowed me to see what I was working with, but keep my cutting/ironing/working surfaces free. So I poked around the garage and this is what I came up with.
These are actually the sides off a disassembled crib that Hubs picked up on a roadside somewhere. I'm very pleased with how they keep everything tidy and visible. And it looks purdy. Though when the Baby first saw it he exclaimed "ladder!" and kept talking about how he was going to climb it. Luckily he was dissuaded.
